Interesting Fact: The name “Sauvignon” comes from the French word “sauvage,” meaning “wild,” because the grape is believed to have descended from wild native vines in southwest France. It was likely one of the earliest domesticated grape varieties and still carries that “wild” character, expressed through its zesty acidity, grassy notes, and sometimes even bold, untamed aromas like bell pepper, jalapeño, or gooseberry. It’s a grape that refuses to be subtle, and that’s exactly its charm.

At Rove: Our flagship wine has always been one of our best sellers and our love language. Year after year it is one of the most expressive wines and tells our story in the vineyard.

While each vintage brings its own personality shaped by the rhythm of weather and time, we believe that if you were to taste our wines blind, you’d still recognize something unmistakable: the heart of our land, the care in our farming, and the patience poured into every bottle. These are the threads that run through each season, and each sip. Below are some of the qualities and winemaking choices that define Rove year after year, our quiet signatures that make our wines uniquely ours.
